By booking a stay at Casa Mimosa you declare your adherence to these house rules. Complying with them is a requirement during your stay and failure to adhere to them may result in penalties such as deductions from the security deposit or compensation claims via the booking platform.
1- GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- All guests (and any visitors) must comply with all house rules and any other instructions of the property owner during their stay.
- In order to ensure that the following guests will find the house in perfect condition, we require a five-hour window for cleaning and set-up. Therefore, check-in and check-out times are 16:00 and 11:00 respectively. These times must be respected by the guests unless previously agreed in writing with the owner.
- The property will be handed over in the same condition in which it was received.
- Guests must notify the property owner of any disputes or complaints from neighbours as soon as reasonably possible.
2- NOISE
- Guests and visitors should keep noise to a minimum so as not to disturb neighbours – especially during night-time hours (between 10pm and 8am).
- Excessive noise is prohibited at all times and may result in termination of the rental agreement, eviction, loss of rent paid and additional charges which may be deducted from the security deposit.
3- VISITORS
- A maximum of 3 visitors (maximum occupancy 7 persons) are allowed during daytime.
- No additional overnight visitors are allowed if this exceeds the total maximum of 4 persons.
- Parties and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited.
- Any small gatherings must comply with the above rules regarding noise, neighbourhood and number of visitors.
4- PARKING
- Guests and visitors must comply with the parking rules and show consideration for neighbours and other vehicles.
5- SAFETY
- This house is suitable for children of any age. Accompanying adults are fully responsible for the safety of children at all times.
- Whenever guests leave the property, it is their responsibility to ensure that all windows and doors are securely locked to maintain safety and prevent rain and water damage.
- Never leave the house key in the lock. If the door accidentally gets closed (e.g. by the wind) while you happen to be outside, a locksmith will need to be called. In such cases, guests will be responsible for the costs.
- Guests should turn off lights, fans, electronic devices such as the television when not in use for safety reasons and to avoid wasting energy.
6- POOL
- Guests must supervise babies and children at all times and not allow them to climb or run around the edges of the pool due to risk of falling.
- The pool cleaner may be present during your stay. Please allow him access to the outside areas of the house so that he can carry out his work.
7- FURNITURE
- Guests should treat sofas and any household textiles with care, especially light-coloured ones, to avoid stains.
8- DAMAGE AND BREAKAGES
- All damage and breakages must be reported to the owner as soon as reasonably possible. Failure to report them is likely to result in a penalty being deducted from the security deposit or a claim being initiated via the booking platform..
- To avoid damage and breakages, no furniture should be moved from one room to another without prior owner consent.
- Bath towels may not be taken out of the property (e.g. for use on the beach).
- We require a security deposit of 150 euros for direct bookings. The deposit is automatically refunded at 20:00 on the check-out date, provided there is no damage or excessive cleaning required. This does not apply to bookings through Airbnb and Booking.com, as these platforms have arbitration systems in place to cover possible damages.
9- SMOKING
- Smoking is not permitted inside the house. If guests wish to smoke, they may do so in the outside areas, keeping the doors closed to prevent odours from entering the house.
- Cigarette butts must be disposed of properly and never thrown in the outside areas.
10- PETS
- We accept a maximum of 2 pets in the house, which must be accompanied at all times. Pets are not allowed to be left alone in the house.
- As the presence of pets requires a much more thorough cleaning, we charge a supplement of 30 euros per stay. This supplement cannot be paid on the booking platform, but must be paid at check-in.
- Pet owners are required to make sure that their pets don’t climb on the beds or the couch. If the cleaning staff finds pet hair on the bed sheets, the towels or the couch, the guest will be charged with the cost of an extra cleaning service.
11- GARBAGE
- Please place your rubbish bags in the rubbish bins located on the roadside. As far as possible, please separate recyclable materials.
12- DEPARTURE ARRANGEMENTS
- The latest check-out time is 11:00. On departure, guests must ensure that all windows and doors are locked and leave the keys on the table when leaving the house. They must also ensure that the door is securely closed on departure.
13- EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS
- In case of an emergency related to the house, please contact the owner by email or by WhatsApp at the number you will find in the welcome folder. In the folder you will also find the emergency telephone numbers.
COMPLIANCE
Breach of any of these house rules is a breach of the terms and conditions of occupancy. The owner reserves the right to terminate permission to occupy and to evict from the vacation rental, any guests or visitors who refuse to follow these house rules or who cause a nuisance to neighbors or other residents of the community.
