Well, it’s not really us, it’s just me behind Casa Mimosa. My name is Cecilia, and I’m originally from Las Palmas. I left Las Palmas to study in Spain’s mainland in 1991 and have only come back for short periods of time since. From Seville, I moved to Madrid, and from there to Germany. I have been living in Berlin for 15 years now, and I dream of moving back to Gran Canaria someday. So, I started looking for a place to live.
I found the house of my dreams in my favorite spot of Gran Canaria, the Agaete Valley. It’s not too big, nor too isolated (I don’t want to own a car), but still far enough from the village that I could have the feeling of living close to nature.
I fell in love with the small and quiet garden, perfect for reading and taking siestas, and the cute pool and sun deck. The surroundings are perfect for hiking, which I love, and the charming Agaete port is close enough (less than 5 km) to go by foot or bike and have a quick and refreshing swim. The house is perfect, as is the location, but I still have things to do in Berlin for a few years before I can move back to Gran Canaria for good. So, here’s where you enter the picture: You get to enjoy my lovely little house until I can move in myself.
